Donate on #GivingTuesday !
Dear Friends,
Today, on Giving Tuesday, we need your urgent help to meet our November goal.
The volunteers of the Glen Echo Fire Department (GEFD) are here for our community at the moments in our lives when we need them most, and now they need our help.
GEFD is a volunteer-staffed, not-for-profit entity that relies on your donations to support its operations and keep our neighborhood safe and healthy. Montgomery County only supports a portion of the local fire department’s services. That means we depend on generous supporters like YOU to ensure you can continue to receive optimal care in your time of need.
This Giving Tuesday, we have set a goal to have a record-breaking day and have the most donors EVER to support us in November. Your dollars were put to work this year to help our fire department by helping us purchase a new ambulance, upgrade a new ATV vehicle for rescues on the Capital Crescent trail, support hands-on training for the community, including CPR and Stop-the-Bleed and Narcan administration for opioid overdoses, and more.
This year, we will need even more resources for maintenance and upkeep on our 70-year-old station and as plans come together for the new fire station to be built. Additionally, your support helps us to recruit and continually train our volunteers. That’s why we need this Giving Tuesday to be our biggest yet.
If you donated to The Glen Echo Fire Department in 2023, please accept our sincere appreciation. If you haven’t donated yet, would you please consider doing so? If you have, would you consider another gift today? A gift of any size can go a long way. Thank you for all you do.
Federal employees and retirees: Please consider listing GEFD (16733) for your Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) donation.
We thank you for your continued support of the Glen Echo Fire Department.
