The Vision

The Glen Echo Fire Department is embarking on a transformational $20 million effort to replace its aging station with a modern, safe, and resilient 33,000-
square-foot First Responder Campus built to serve our community for generations.

Private philanthropy and community support will provide $10 million toward this historic investment—creating an extraordinary opportunity for individuals, families, foundations, and corporate partners to help build the future of emergency response in our community.

The new campus will give firefighters and EMS personnel the training, technology, health protections, living spaces, and operational resources they need to protect those who protect us.

One donor, family, foundation, corporation, or organization will have the opportunity to make a transformational investment in the future of the Glen Echo Fire Department by naming the entire 33,000- square-foot GEFD Campus – creating a lasting legacy of support for the firefighters, EMTs, and community it serves.

Four founding partners will have the opportunity to align their investment with one of the campaign’s four areas of impact. Each Cornerstone Partner will help advance a critical pillar of the new campus:

  • Firefighter Health & Wellness Safety: Supporting fitness, recovery, and long-term firefighter and EMS health
  • Training & Preparedness: Improving training, readiness, and community safety education
  • Emergency Response & Innovation: Advancing technology, station alerting systems, and operational capabilities
  • Community, Service, & Remembrance: Honoring public service, preserving department heritage, and recognizing fallen heroes

The Fire Chief’s Circle is GEFD’s highest level of campaign recognition, reserved for donors making a commitment of $100,000 or more. Membership recognizes donors whose leadership support is helping make the new First Responder Campus possible.

FIREHOUSE LEADERSHIP CIRCLE | $10,000-99,999

The Firehouse Leadership Circle recognizes donors making gifts of $10,000 to $99,999 whose leadership support is helping advance the new GEFD First Responder Campus.

Firehouse Leadership Circle Benefits:

  • Donor Recognition: Prominent recognition on the campaign donor wall and in appropriate campaign materials
  • Campaign Engagement: Invitations to appropriate campaign events and the station dedication
  • Project Updates: Periodic campaign and construction updates
  • Naming Eligibility: Eligibility for designated naming opportunities at the $25,000, $50,000, and $75,000 levels, subject to availability and approval
  • Leadership Recognition: Gifts of $100,000 or more qualify for membership in the Fire Chief’s Circle, GEFD’s highest level of campaign recognition.
